About
My foundation in the mathematical theory and statistical analysis begins from my undergraduate days where I learnt to write programming scripts in python and conduct surveys and statistical analysis using Microsoft Excel and SPSS, interpret and present findings for decision making. With the same commitment, motivation, and passion to learn new things, I completed my mandatory national service duty as required by an undergraduate Ghanaian at the Department of Biostatistics, School of Public Health, University Ghana. During my mandatory services, I was mentored and trained by multiple experienced Biostatisticians, where I had the opportunity to teach students, manage and handle multiple quantitative datasets, analyse, and interpret and presents findings primarily using Stata. Due to the vast background of these mentors, I was exposed to various datasets covering different health topics including infectious diseases such as HIV, TB, Malaria etc., non-communicable diseases such hypertension, diabetes etc. and reproductive and maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition (RMNCHN) and vaccination data sets. I had the opportunity to dive into various data sets including primary data sets, the demographic health surveys (DHS), multiple indicator cluster survey (MICS), malaria indicator survey (MIS), world data bank (WDB) indicators, and other from students as well as international organizations such the WHO, USAID, Global Funds, among others. During the past years, I have obtained my master’s in public health Monitoring and Evaluation and currently pursuing a PHD in Public Health with specialization in Biostatistics. I currently serve as Senior Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation officer at the total family health organization (TFHO) and the consultant on Data Manager, advisor, and Statistical analyst with Yemaachi Biotechnology in Ghana.
