About

Mr. Emmanuel Umuhoza earned his master’s degree in Agroforestry and Soil Management from the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Animal and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM). He currently serves as a consultant for the project focusing on "Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture for Advancing Rural Livelihoods and Climate Resilience in Rwanda's Eastern Province." In this role, he leads and delivers training on climate-smart agricultural practices to local communities Previously, he conducted research examining the "Farmer’s Perception and Adoption of Agroforestry Technologies in Eastern Rwanda,". Additionally, he provided assistance to a PhD candidate in handling soil samples and measuring tree parameters within Rwanda agroforestry project. In 2018, Emmanuel contributed as agricultural extension leader at the Rwanda Youth Agribusiness Forum's Farmer Field School. Emmanuel Umuhoza's primary interests lie in soil analysis, plant ecology, and understanding the role of agroforestry in preserving biodiversity. He is particularly intrigued by exploring how tropical tree species respond to initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change impacts
