Adhere to the established protocols for overseeing test labs, including the maintenance of all test environments and equipment.
Conduct analysis through regular walkthroughs of the test labs to ensure they are operational.
Ensure that test environments are configured correctly and available when needed.
Attend to site visits and provide oversight of third-party managed labs, including local travel as required.
Collaborate with the TCoE Manager and/or Test Lead to execute testing processes and procedures.
Asset Utilisation:
Maintain a comprehensive asset register for all test labs.
Comply with general maintenance protocols for all test lab equipment.
Maintain the lab asset planning schedule to ensure assets are operational and ready for use according to the schedule.
Utilise applicable monitoring tools to ensure test lab equipment is consistently up and running.
Investigate and escalate any incidents pertaining to lab asset configuration management for timely resolution.
Test Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with Test Leads to gather information necessary for developing and maintaining a testing schedule while allocating test lab equipment resources accordingly.
Support teams and projects in executing tests when required.
Resource Management:
Ensure that test lab equipment is efficiently allocated and utilised.
Research and implement strategies to optimize lab asset utilisation and configuration by actively monitoring equipment use within the test lab.
Collaborate with Test Leads to investigate and implement improvements in equipment utilisation
Performance Management:
Monitor and measure the performance of test labs, regularly reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
Conduct analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of test lab processes and procedures and provide training or support as needed to implement changes for improvement.
