I would say being honest is the best answer there is, because eventually your friend is being hired you will keep seeing more faults in her work... ethics, but if your friend is someone who is matured enough they ought to see reasons why they are not hired. Being honest with one is a far better answer. And one more thing doing business most times with a relation is bad news  more
