Simeon Waigi

Work experience
  • Carried out and supervised all land survey-related works for turnkey projects involving the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of million liters capacity fuel depots in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • Conducted topographic surveys to support the design of site master plans for civil, mechanical, and electrical aspects of the projects.
  • Applied engineering survey techniques to set out coordinates and levels for all site structures, including buildings, depot access roads, deceleration and acceleration roads connecting to main public roads, above-ground vertical petroleum storage tanks, and water intake facilities.
  • Ensured the accurate and precise setting out of works in accordance with the required design accuracy specifications.
  • Collected geodata continuously throughout the project durations to aid in generating various reports, including Earthworks and Materials Volumetric, Design Conformance, Evaluation and Quantification of design alternatives, Survey Progress, and Above Ground Vertical Tanks Hydrotest.
  • Collaborated closely with engineering and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of surveying activities with the overall project workflow.
  • Provided technical expertise and guidance on surveying matters, resolving any challenges or discrepancies that arose during the project execution.
  • Maintained comprehensive documentation and records of survey data, ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.

Work experience
  • I carried out Topographical Surveys, Engineering Surveys and Cadastral Surveys for the following projects:-
  • i. Olympia City Special Economic Zone-Eldoret
  • ii. Africa Economic Zones, Eldoret, Phase 1 consisted of a 700-acre industrial park intended to house firms focusing on agro-processing and value add industries
  • iii. Radiant(40MW) and Eldosol(40MW) Solar Projects, Eldoret, Kenya. I was tasked with the initial land survey works in this two solar power plants. Each power plant sat on 300 acres of land which were adjacent to each other. My main task involved determining the extent of the forest cover that had to be cut down to pave way for installation of photovoltaic modules as well as medium voltage step up transformer

Simeon Waigi

Work experience
  • Tasked with carrying out Topographical Surveys, Engineering Surveys and Cadastral Surveys.

Simeon Waigi

Work experience
  • Engaged as a GIS data collector for Kenya Power both as a data gatherer and later as a supervisor. This was for their medium and low voltage networks. It entailed capturing spatial information on all its utilities starting from distribution transformers to customer location, this were them overlaid on cadastre.
