  • Liaising with the County Tourism department and other stakeholders in matters related to tourism development and promotion. Promote development of Tourism Products and Value addition in existing Tourism Products. Leading in identification, and development of unexplored tourism opportunities in Narok for example opening up Mt. Suswa Conservancy and liaising with the locals to enhance activities to engage potential visitors.
  • Coordinating participation, planning and management of meetings and conferences such as devolution conference locally and international Tourism exhibitions such as World Travel Market in London and more.

  • Naretoi Ang' is a Community based organization that was established to assist communities inhabiting the Maasai Mara Game reserve and Narok County as a whole improve their way of life to create harmony and balance between their needs and their environment.
  • The organization seeks to empower the community through development programs that will encourage socio-economic empowerment of the people as well as culture and environmental conservation.

  • Naretoi Ang’ was pioneered and is Managed by Marley Sianto Sikawa. She was Miss Tourism Narok county (2013-2014) and was the reigning Miss Tourism Africa (2014/2015). She chose to concentrate on environmental issues having hailed from a County that prides itself as one of the Tourism Heavy weights is Africa and beyond. Therefore it becomes important that the inhabitants (Man and wildlife) are harmoniously encompassed to bring the best out of this God given resources.
  • The custodians of the environment which in this case is (Man), should be empowered accordingly towards ways that improve their lives and in turn sustain the environment they inhabit for the greater good.
  • The main projects undertaken included:
  • 1.Solar Lamp Project - This is to mitigate the use of kerosene lamps which in extreme cases causes blindness after long term exposure and repeated eye infections. It will include the donation and distribution of easy to use solar lamps in sub counties to a level that will ensure that each Manyatta within Narok county has at least one solar lamp.
  • 2. Tree planting exercises and Patron wildlife conservation clubs in primary and secondary schools.
  • The organization also planned to patron wildlife conservation clubs in high schools, primary schools and colleges by exposing them to conservation exercises as often as their schools allow.
