The Englewood Back to School Parade is for the deserving youth/children of Englewood. Its sole purpose is to be an advocate for education by providing those avenues that will promote education and encouraging youth to stay in school. The parade creates an annual event that strengthens community bonds, promotes local talent, promotes education for our deserving youth and inspires pride in our shared heritage, while encouraging participation from all ages and backgrounds.

  • The Englewood Back to School Parade is a not for profit, that has been in existence for 64 years. A day of unity, education advocacy, food & resource giveaway, fun and entertainment for our youth and their families is offered. All activities are free of charge. All groups are welcomed (bands, dancing teams and community organizations) to march in the parade procession. The parade finale is held at Ogden Park and highlights include giant waterslides, yoga demonstrations, food giveaway, book bags that include school supplies are given away, and entertainment geared toward our deserving youth.
