I am a development practitioner, researcher, consultant and organisational leader with more than 20 years of experience working across gender, men and masculinities, public health, community development, social and behavioural change, research and programme implementation.
I am the Founder and Country Director of Zambia Men’s Network (ZMN), established in 2004, and have spent more than two decades working with communities, civil society organisations, researchers, government institutions and development partners to design, implement, strengthen and evaluate programmes that respond to complex social and development challenges.
My professional experience spans research, consultancy, programme design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, community engagement, participatory approaches, gender-transformative programming, men's engagement, capacity strengthening, organisational development, training, facilitation and technical assistance.
As a researcher and implementation practitioner, I have worked at the intersection of evidence, communities and practice. My experience includes qualitative and participatory research, community-based research, stakeholder engagement, research coordination, knowledge generation and translating evidence into practical programme approaches. I am particularly interested in ensuring that research is not conducted on communities, but developed and implemented with them.
My consultancy work has involved supporting organisations and programmes with strategic and technical input, programme development, community engagement, training, facilitation, monitoring and learning, organisational strengthening and partnership development. I have worked across Zambia and internationally, bringing a practical perspective shaped by direct experience with communities and institutions rather than theory alone.
A significant part of my recent work has focused on strengthening meaningful community engagement within research and health programmes. Through the NIHR-funded Yaba Guy Che programme, for example, I have contributed to the development and refinement of the PERCAL Community Engagement Methodology, building on practical experience of working with communities, researchers and health systems.
I also bring extensive experience in communication, public speaking, media engagement and facilitation. I am comfortable working across technical, community and institutional environments and translating complex ideas into language and approaches that people can understand and use.
I am interested in consultancy assignments, research collaborations, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation, programme design and implementation, training and facilitation, advisory roles, speaking opportunities and strategic partnerships . where my experience can contribute practical value.
My approach is grounded in a simple principle: good programmes are built when evidence, institutions and communities are connected in ways that produce meaningful and sustainable change.
