"Ricardo Chavez is an inspiring leader whose deep knowledge and commitment to social and environmental justice have had a lasting impact on me professionally and personally. I had the opportunity to work with him while I was still an architecture student at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, where we collaborated on designing ADUs using hempcrete. Ricardo spearheaded prototyping efforts and helped build awareness and knowledge within our school community. Together, we participated in events educating others on the importance of sustainable materials in the construction industry.
