  • As an Accountant at GLOFORD Uganda, i am currently running Joint Advocacy for Sexual Reproductive Health and Right (JAS Programme) a project being implemented by GLOFORD Uganda in Lira District and Lira City in partnership with Centre for Health Human Rights and Development (CEHURD) with funding from Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) The followings are my job Descriptions. ●Adherence to donor communication, submission of JAS financial report in the stipulated time frame.
  • ●Daily posting and review of financial data on Microsoft Dynamic 365 software to ensure correct entries in financial records.
  • ●Timely bookings of hotels, transport for staff ahead of planned meetings and workshops.
  • ●Ensuring compliance with statutory authorities such as Uganda Revenue Authority and National Social Security Fund by making payments and contributions as early as possible.
  • ●Acting as Bank Account agent for GLOFORD JAS project account hence ensuring all transactions are properly documented and accounted for by providing timely reports monthly,quarterly, biannually and annually to finance officer and donors/Partners
  • ●Reviewing mobile money requests forms and processing them for payments in-line with GLOFORD's financial policies and procedures. As part of the Finance and Administration team, ensure that GLOFORD's policies and procedures and donor regulations are strictly adhered to.
  • ●Providing administrative support for the smooth running of program activities.Providing logistical support for travels both to the field and out of the country.
  • ●Providing support with the procurement function (issuing Local Purchase Order, making and following up on orders, etc) and making their payments.

  • ● Ensured the company was complying with statutory obligations such as National Social Security Fund contribution and Uganda Revenue Authority remittance and fillings.

  • Through this volunteering position, I was selected for two (2) consecutive years to represent my country Uganda to advocate for the need to reduce illiteracy. In 2020, our campaign raised over $20,000 which supported the Aprende Leyendo project in Columbia. In addition, this volunteerism and advocacy raised awareness to global leaders and organizations to come together in 2021 in the World Literacy summit to make commitments that ensure sustainable development goal 4 is achieved by 2030.
