"Nikola Živanović was one of the most brilliant students at the Department of Comparative Literature and Theory of Literature (Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade), where I taught from 1999 until now. Nikola was my undergraduate student, taking courses in the poetics of classical Greek and Roman literature, Romanticism, and Realism. He was active and demonstrated a profound knowledge of literary theory, comparative literature, social history, and intercultural relations. In addition, he showed interest in the interrelations between the humanities and the social sciences, literature, and psychology.
