"Nikola Živanović was one of the most brilliant students at the Department of Comparative Literature and Theory of Literature (Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade), where I taught from 1999 until now. Nikola was my undergraduate student, taking courses in the poetics of classical Greek and Roman literature, Romanticism, and Realism. He was active and demonstrated a profound knowledge of literary theory, comparative literature, social history, and intercultural relations. In addition, he showed interest in the interrelations between the humanities and the social sciences, literature, and psychology. Nikola was hardworking, communicative, and always eager to improve and perfect his knowledge and skills. Likewise, Nikola has an exquisite capability to synthesize distant concepts and a critical mind coupled with analytical rigor when approaching a text."
