Work experience
  • I manage the Hyundai Dream Centre Project, a project funded by Hyundai Motor Company whose aim is to provide an opportunity for vulnerable youth, especially girls and young women in technical training programs with a view of increasing their employability in technical and non-technical areas, which are currently men dominated.
  • Achievements include;
  • Effectively coordinated the Hyundai Dream Centre project making it realize its Goal of supporting 150 vulnerable young people to acquire technical and non-technical skills in motor vehicle electrics.
  • Effectively coordinated private sector engagements for post training support and job linkages, leading to employment of 35% of the trainees within six months after completion of their training.
  • Successfully coordinated the revamping of the Technical and soft skills training curricula through effective industry engagement, hence promoting training that matches the automotive industry needs and addresses the issue of skills mismatch.
  • Initiated strategic partnerships development with the private sector hence promoting 100% industrial attachment and internship placements for Hyundai Dream Centre trainees.
  • Enhanced the visibility of the Hyundai Dream Centre through media engagement, showcasing stories of change and impact and employer forums. This has created a buy-in of the project in the automotive industry hence resulting into employability of at least 35% of trainees within 6 months after completion of their course.
  • Developed and implemented a gender and disability lens recruitment framework for the Hyundai Dream Centre project which saw the at least 45% of the total beneficiaries being girls and young women and 8% being young people living with disabilities, hence promoting inclusive programming.
