About
Posiano is an agricultural extension professional whose working experience spans Livelihoods, Environment and Energy .Posiano has worked with organizations like Finish Refugee Council, World Vision Uganda, Office of the prime minister leading the implementation of the livelihood component of the DRDIP project, and currently works with Uganda Biodiversity Fund and Iconic Rural Development . This work experience has contributed to his excellent skills and experience in Agriculture Extension and Training methodology, Livelihoods development in both humanitarian and development contexts.
Posiano has special expertise in Livelihoods financing ,agriculture and rural development programming with working knowledge of grants financing, application of participatory rural appraisal tools ,village revolving fund, savings for transformation model, sustainable livelihoods framework, community capitals frameworks, Ultra-poor graduation, cash transfer modalities, food assistance ,food security and nutrition e.t.c .
Additionally, he possesses knowledge of Organizational Management and Leadership, Technical Agriculture, Social skills for Professional Performance, Innovation Systems Management ,gender/environment/social safeguards mainstreaming, social impact measurement in agriculture, education, renewable energy and environment .
As a team a leader at Iconic Rural Development ,Posiano leads a team of experienced professionals that provide consultancy services in community needs assessments and priority setting ,supply of high quality crops/tree/livestock inputs ,trainings in crop/livestock/tree value chains ,agriculture value chain and market assessments, monitoring and evaluation of livelihood projects ,agriculture value addition ,rural financing advisory ,climate smart agriculture ,enterprise selection and business planning, leadership for agriculture professionals, environment and social safeguards programming, review of calls for proposals and proposal development
As a program officer at Uganda Biodiversity Fund ,Posiano spearheads the planning, implementation ,monitoring and evaluation of UBF projects that include the EU Project(Restoration and conservation of degraded and fragile ecosystems for livelihood improvement in Mid Albertine Rift Region and West Nile Regions . He is also supporting implementation of the Bridge project(clean products for the environment ) -working with two food manufacturing firms in Kampala .Posiano is also a member of the UBF resource mobilization team and is instrumental in review of calls for proposals ,proposal development and other resource mobilisation initiatives
