VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position Title: Part-Time Accountant
Duty Station: Kanungu District, Uganda (ACP Headquarters)
Reports To: Executive Director

About ACP

Africa Conservation Program (ACP) is a conservation and community development organization dedicated to biodiversity conservation, indigenous peoples' empowerment,... sustainable livelihoods, and environmental stewardship. ACP is seeking a qualified and experienced Part-Time Accountant to strengthen the organization's financial management systems and ensure accountability in the utilization of resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, donors, and stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and monitor project expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations, statutory requirements, and ACP financial policies.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Advise the Executive Director on financial planning, budgeting, and financial risk management.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
• Assist in grant financial reporting and budget preparation.
• Perform any other finance and administration duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
