Meet Mr. Muctarr Abib Kamara, an esteemed Building and Civil Engineer with a remarkable professional journey. Presently excelling as the Station Manager at Kabala Water Works for SALWACO, he earned a master's degree in Urban Water and Sanitation Engineering from UNESCO IHE Delft, The Netherlands. This achievement coincided with his promotion to his current role, underscoring his commitment and expertise. Before this role, he showcased his skills as a Site Supervisor at various Construction Companies, making significant contributions to project oversight. His career in the industry began in 2014 at SALWACO, where he played a pivotal role as a Station Engineer at Magburaka Water Supply Station. Graduating from the University of Sierra Leone in 2014, Mr. Kamara initially obtained his Building and Civil Engineering certificate in 2008 from Milton Margai College of Education and Technology. With his extensive background, he is a knowledgeable professional in water supply engineering and construction project management. Affiliated with the Sierra Leone Institution of Engineers, he continues his professional development with certificates in Training of Trainers on Project Development and Project Costing Methods (2023) and Best Practices in Water Utility Management (2016), at National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Kampala, Uganda.
