Work experience

Graphic Design Instructor: Creating the course curriculum, class sessions, overseeing student presentations to interested students from other courses and assignment.
Videography Instructor: Creating course curriculum, overseeing field shoots and issuing assignments.
Interim Instructor: Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Powerpoint and Excel

Work experience

This assignment began with a two day training; where we, colleagues and the organisation, formed strategies that helped conduct the research activity. The organisation later gave guidelines safeguarding a child's wellbeing. After the training the research way split into three field assignment.
Training session: translating the questionnaires into the local dialect since most the beneficiaries only understood Swahili and Sheng, research location routing, interview dry runs.
Assignment one - Data collection from home visits; household interviews that involved a child beneficiary and the parent/guardian regarding their wellbeing with the child being the primary focus.
Assignment Two - Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Two separate group discussions. First group was child-beneficiaries where we initiated conversations with open ended questions and relatable scenarios. Second group was with the parents; concerning their children.
Assignent Three - Key Informant Interview (KII): Met with a Children Officer from Embakasi Nairobi to further gain a whole scope of the ongoing Child Wellbeing Project.
The whole exercise concluded with compiling all the sessions into reports attached with respective audio notes.

Work experience

Graphic design for allocated social media posts and powerpoint presentation
Part of documentary production crew in USAID's KCDMS project where I assisted in photography, video editing and motion graphics.
Branding and marketing for KCDMS beneficiary partners; designing flyers, posters and numerous seed packaging designs.
Infographic design required in occasional documentations; this included formatting documents with simple but detailed graphics.
Audio/sound cleaning; short and insightful audio clips from meetings for colleagues who could not attend.
Photo editing; photos from the filed that needed some polishing, color grading or even manipulation.
Media and storage management; arranging media files into categories in storage media.

Work experience

Video editing: the organisation publishes weekly insights from their newsdesk; my usual task was cleaning video editing, graphics placement and refining, audio cleaning.
Graphic design: prescheduled and urgent infographics and designs were the norm.
Brainstorm Session: sharing ideas and creative pieces with colleagues.
