About

I am currently serving as a Lecturer and researcher at Dilla University’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences. My research portfolio spans diverse themes in Maternal and Reproductive Health, Women and Child Health, and Midwifery Practices, with a core focus on advancing health equity and service quality in resource-limited settings. In addition to my teaching and mentorship roles, I have authored more than 50 research articles published in rigorous, peer-reviewed journals. I actively contribute to scientific publishing as an Academic Editor for BMC Reproductive Health and BMC Women’s Health, as well as Associate Editor of the Africa Journal of Health Sciences and Medicine. These roles have strengthened my editorial judgment and commitment to promoting methodological rigor and inclusive knowledge production. My leadership experience includes serving as the Research Vice Director of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and currently as a Research Ethics Officer at Dilla University. I also serve as a board member of the TORG Institutional Review Board (IRB), where I review multi-institutional studies and advocate for ethical integrity in health research. Driven by a mission to improve maternal and child health outcomes through applied research, capacity building, and ethical scholarship, I remain deeply committed to generating actionable knowledge that informs policy and strengthens healthcare systems across the region.
