"Mary is the Tate choral director who can see a choir’s potential and get the members to clearly see it as well. During the time we had Mary as our director, we continued to develop our individual and collective skills (sight-reading, listening to balance, intonation and timbre, for example). She welcomed and encouraged new members (and people new to a choir). I especially appreciated her encouragement - commenting on how we were doing on an especially challenging section or her non-verbals as we’d finish a piece and she’d share how beautiful it was). I’ve been in choirs for years and loved the opportunity to continue to keep music in my life and be challenged. I can’t recommend Mary highly enough. And choir would be very lucky to have her."
