About

The fundamental goal of engineering is to create things that improve life, whether that is by making tasks easier, taking less time to do, or using fewer resources. Among all the scientific and engineering disciplines, chemical engineering is the most fascinating. In my opinion, it genuinely captures the passion and labour of humanity through actions like the discovery of previously undiscovered substances and the creation of something valuable from nothing more than raw ingredients.I have always found chemical engineering fascinating, even in high school. Over time, this has made me more and more interested in chemical engineering. Owing to chemical engineering's promising future, I concentrated my attention on the topics of corrosion, separation processes, and transport phenomena. I've always been curious about how chemical engineering works and what makes the various processes so effective. My high school teacher's description of separation, different methods of separation, how different chemicals react, and the specific processes required for each separation to achieve various desirable products fascinated me and ignited my interest in chemical and corrosion engineering. My decision to continue my education and pursue a career in the extremely promising subject of chemical engineering was influenced by this insight. My desire to learn more drove me to pursue graduate studies in chemical engineering at Edo State University, where I focused on modelling processes and corrosion. I participated in the six-month industrial training programme required by Rivers Vegetable Oil Company (RIVOC) in Nigeria, where I learned about the latest developments in refinery plant separation techniques as well as acid cleaning to prevent corrosion. I obtained practical experience with RIVOC and expanded my knowledge of mechanisms. My undergraduate research project, "Inhibitory Action of Spondias Mombin Leaves Extracts on Corrosion of Mild Steel in 1M HCl, piqued my research interest in corrosion management using natural plant extract as a green inhibitor. My recent work on plant-based inhibitors is presently under peer review process. My interest in corrosion, particularly acid cleaning in chemical industries, which is a fundamental area of chemical engineering, has grown as a result of this research project.I have considered a career in chemical engineering because of the high demand for people with this kind of experience in today's society. My goal is to enhance my understanding of corrosion and material engineering, as well as simulation processes.
