I worked with the IEBC as a polling clerk whereby my roles included preparing the polling station for the polling day, verifying the voter’s name and ID in the register, counting and tallying votes, transmitting results electronically to national and constituency tallying centers and also updating the presiding officer on voter turnout and any other emergencies and occurrences in the polling station

  • MIASM is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting health and human rights, access to justice, economic empowerment, and good governance for marginalized communities in Kenya. It works in nine counties across Kenya, conducting advocacy, providing mental health and HIV prevention services and also good governance for marginalized communities. I worked as a field officer and together with EMAC another non-governmental organization we worked directly with KP community members, law enforcement, and health care providers to create a safer, more enabling environment for the population to know their rights and access care and mental wellness by being involved in activities that enhanced the capacity of citizens to understand and advocate for their rights, improving violence prevention and response services (including legal support), and expanding access to mental health services.

  • KEMSA is a state agency whose role is to Procure, warehouse and distribute drugs and medical supplies for prescribed public health programs, the national strategic stock reserve, prescribed essential health packages and national referral hospitals.I worked with KEMSA as an attechee whereby I was able to learn on procedures for procuring, warehousing and distribution. I was also involved in activities such as booking invoices and clearing creditors’ payment, reconciling financial statements and also processing standing imprest while in the finance department.
