Dr. Henshaw Mandi is a Senior Epidemiologist and a leader in vaccine research and development, with over 17 years of experience in the field of medicine, global public health, epidemiology, epidemic preparedness and response, surveillance, and emerging infectious diseases. He currently works at CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations), where he contributes to the development of the epidemiological strategy for several disease areas, such as Lassa fever and Mpox. He is also the head of the ENABLE Lassa Research Programme, a large, complex observational and non-interventional project that supports vaccine development in various low- and middle-income countries.
Dr. Mandi is also a public health physician, passionate social entrepreneur and healthcare innovator, who founded and leads TRIFT INNOVATION, an investment, clinical research and consulting company that aims to improve human well-being globally through social impact services and investments. He has co-founded and serves as the board chairman of three other ventures, Triangle Research Foundation (TRIFT), AirDocta, and TRIFT ALLIANCE, that focus on different aspects of healthcare innovation, such as digital health, telemedicine, and immunization. He holds a MD from the University of Yaoundé 1, Cameroon, a MSc in Vaccinology and Pharmaceutical Clinical Development from the University of Siena, Italy, a MPH from the Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, and a PGC in Clinical Trial Management from PAREXEL Academy, Berlin, Germany.
