Iam a youth Advocate that provides high quality, holistic advocacy support, amplifying the voice of children and young people in challenging situations and supporting them to communicate their wishes and feelings. Iam currently doing this ministry with compassion International projects in Nebbi Anglican Diocese.

  • Excellent coordination and organization skills. Able to work in a matrix environment and keep track of multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in report writing, donor compliance, and budget management.
  • A very vast experience in implementing, supervising, monitoring and evaluating field-based child protection and education projects for the projects participants country wide for 5 years
  • Understands educational policies, developments, and trends as we deliver to children and youth
  • Ability to work in hard to reach hard areas and to stay familiar with programming for vulnerable children especially young girls and boys
  • Monthly Financial report and Annual Financial Report (MFR and AFR).
  • Submission of monthly reports to the overseer, Child Development Committee and other partners as required
  • Offering leadership to other project children by mentoring, coaching, managing performance, coordinating and reporting to relevant authorities on all matters related to children development and protection and creating enabling environment where staffs and policy makers are able to carry out their duties effectively and all accountabilities of program areas are satisfactorily met.
  • Working within ones influence as an advocate for children and their caregivers who live in poverty and are not able to speak for themselves. This includes being informed about issues of children and influencing others to greater involvement on their behalf.
  • Prepare in cooperation with other project staff, committee the plans and budgets and submit them to the overseer and compassion representative for approval.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software including MS Word processing, Power point presentation, Excel spreadsheets, e-mail, and web-based research
  • Accounting officer for all project funds and ensure the funds are used for intended purpose and adhered to the policies.
  • Experience with gender transformative programming (GTP) and mainstreaming gender equality and inclusion in in the education context
  • Managing the child home visitations process in accordance with the plan and program of the project. This involves exploration of each child’s unique needs opportunities and capabilities and recommends ways to improve the child welfare.
  • Challenge, motivate and encourage church to think of other ways of mobilizing resources that provide sound learning opportunities for children in areas of Child Development to prevent dependency syndrome.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders in selection of children for sponsorship
  • Assist other project workers and share their responsibilities when the situation calls for such intervention.
  • Discharge such other duties as are assigned by the project leadership or compassion office.
  • Knowledge in understanding of child rights issues and immediate Red alert reporting to the designate persons through links of Child protection
