Leixa Garrafa- Torres

"Leixa approaches teaching with a calm demeanor that both sooths antsy students and engages them with their learning material. Always the professional, she does not engage with gossip, listens deeply to others, and treats everyone with respect. Leixa is a well-seasoned ESOL teacher, our only ESOL teacher, and instructs all grades at this school (6-12th.) She provides a calm and safe learning environment where students are comfortable enough to participate and improve their skills. One of our most valuable teachers, Leixa accommodates all students and supports staff if one of her students is in our class."

"She really cares a lot and puts in effort into what she does!"

"Ms Garrafa is very professional and skilled. She explains lessons clearly and is always patient with her students. She knows how to make learning English easier and more comfortable. She is also very supportive and understands that every student learns differently. I appreciate her dedication, knowledge, and the effort she puts on helping students to improve their English skills."

"Leixa consistently demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to excellence. Leixa’s positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with others makes her a valuable asset."

"Attentive and super kind"

"I worked alongside Leixa at the Springfield Renaissance School. She was a truly exceptional ESL teacher. She advocated for her students, created curriculum that balanced building foundational literacy skills with tackling grade-level standards, and she was a thoughtful and reliable colleague. In my role as an Effective Educator Coach, I had the opportunity to observe Leixa teach on many occasions, and she had exceptional classroom management and her lessons were well constructed."

"The best"
