"I met Kim when I returned to Sophie’s Parlor, a public radio show on WPFW-FM. The program presented a woman’s perspective on music, culture and community. Kim was part of the collective that has kept it on the air for over forty years. It’s a valuable service providing information and entertainment to listeners. After I left, I learned that she continued working on Sophie’s but was also active in her community working on projects, particularly those involving young people. I continue to think of her as a woman devoted to giving her best to any endeavor she pursues."
