"John Dozier and I worked together for Lowes Home Improvement on their websites and apps for several years. Our primary goal was to capture meaningful metrics associated with user experience and resultant business metrics. Later, I was pleased to see him join Duke Energy, as I had worked for that company and others in the electric power industry, and admired Duke.

Recently, we coauthored an article for the Journal of User Experience describing ways in which newer practitioners and researchers could pursue jobs and careers, or decide how to pivot if appropriate.

After several decades of working with clients and colleagues, John is among the top contributors I have encountered. He is overly modest in a world that seems preoccupied at times with self promoters. He is passionate about “end users” and the business, but remains calm (which is not always my strength). He continues with enthusiasm around roadblocks or delays, keeping the long-term benefits in mind. He is strong and kind.
