Work experience
  • I am the owner, head instructor, and program director of Agape Black Belt Center. For over 20 years, I have been committed to empowering individuals of all ages through martial arts—helping over 10,000 students and families build confidence, focus, and holistic well-being.
  • My responsibilities include designing and leading martial arts programs, training and mentoring students and instructors, managing daily operations, and fostering a safe, disciplined, and inclusive environment. I also coordinate belt testing, events, and community outreach, and actively promote youth leadership and personal development.
  • One of the most unforgettable accomplishments in my career came during the COVID-19 pandemic. We transitioned to online classes without interruption and maintained 98% student attendance—helping our students stay active, focused, and connected. We also ran a 9-week in-person summer camp for ages 4–12 during the hybrid stage, supporting frontline families while delivering one of the safest and most creative Taekwondo camps under strict safety protocols.
  • In recent years, our team also spearheaded the first AAPI Festival in our community, bringing together over 4,000 people to celebrate culture, diversity, and unity. It was a powerful moment of community connection and pride.
  • I am especially proud that my three children now serve as instructors and members of Team USA. Many of our students have gone on to become confident, capable leaders in their schools and communities, a reflection of the long-term impact of our mission at Agape Black Belt Center.
