  • Managing all the production functions/operations of the Ethanol and Vinnasse fired boiler plant.( Distillation,Fermentation,Evaporation and Vinnasse boiler).
  • Ensure that there is optimal use of capital, energy, labour materials and technology as per regards the Ethanol and Vinnasse fired boiler plant.
  • Participate in the budgeting processes for the section to ensure effective cost control.
  • Co-ordinate inspection of raw materials and finished products to ensure that they meet the required specifications as per the ISO 9000 Quality Management System and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System. This includes molasses and Alcohol (Extra neutral Alcohol, Rectified spirit and Neutral spirit).
  • Supervision, training and co-ordination of workers and creating a conducive environment for the production/process personnel as per regards health and safety.
  • Plan, co-ordinate, organise and schedule the production activities and supervise the production process to be utilized effectively.
  • Monitor the Ethanol and Vinnasse fired boiler, Quality of the products and by-products in conjunction with the Quality control department.
  • Preparing daily and monthly Reports to the management.

  • Managing operations and maintenance of effluent treatment plant, laboratory analysis-water and wastewater analysis, air quality, biogas and flue gas/stack analysis.
  • Monitoring of solid waste management by incineration, effluent disposal, and energy and water consumption.
  • Providing timely quality analytical results to user departments for raw materials, by-products and final products.
  • Reagent preparation and standardisation, equipment calibration troubleshooting and method development.
  • Co-ordination and organization of safe working environment safety and adherence to environmental policies and material standards.
  • Ensure compliance to national and corporate safety, health and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Ensure that environmental audit, health and safety audits are carried out and the same reported to NEMA and Government authorities’ e.g. WRMA.
  • Organise yearly trainings in safety, health and environment to meet the national safety legislation and company safety requirements.
  • Monitoring contractors work for compliance to Environment Health and Safety and issuance of permit to work.
  • Prepare and provide reports on accidents/incident investigations, risk assessment and give full report to departmental heads.
  • Performing drinking water analysis, effluent/waste water analysis and giving advice on the same.( Physical, Chemical and Microbiological of drinking and raw water)
  • Monitor daily the state of factory utilities and monitor working conditions and procedure.
  • Inspection of first aid kits, fire equipments, fire alarm and areas that may be regarded as potential hazards.
  • Pest and rodent control as per the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management system
