About

As a Freelance Photographer, Runner, and Broadcast Assistant, I specialise in creating innovative and captivating visual stories and supporting dynamic productions. My recent professional engagements have allowed me to contribute to a variety of exciting projects, including working as a Runner for BBC Productions at The Festival of Remembrance, a Production Assistant at Banijay, and gaining valuable insights through Runner Shadowing for ITV & PotatoTV on 'The Chase.' In my photography capacity, I've served as a Photographer Assistant with Gary Moyes (also for 'The Chase'), captured the significant Benjamin Zephaniah Day for Licklemor Productions, and documented vibrant events like 'Come Vibes Wid Me' with Maxwell D. My photography work is at the heart of my artistic practice, where I explore diverse subjects with a unique perspective. My digital content creation complements this by adding layers of creative expression to my portfolio. My artistic vision is deeply influenced by my experience with autism, which I embrace as a strength and a powerful source of inspiration. I recently gained valuable media industry experience through the MAMA Youth Project's runner trainee course, culminating in the creation of my first 15-minute film. This experience provided me with hands-on training and insights into the world of media production. In addition to my creative and professional work, I volunteer at The King's Trust, an organization dedicated to empowering young people and building stronger communities in Southwark and across London. As an Outreach Volunteer, a Youth Voice Panelist & Resident Photographer, I have honed my skills in networking, communication, and presentation. I've also gained valuable insights into community development through their courses and events. My contributions to their mission include attending and documenting key events such as the VRU London Hope Hacks and the Youth Panel job interviews, helping to promote a safer and more inclusive London for young people like myself. Continuously eager to learn and grow, I am passionate about sharing my work with the world and making a positive impact through my art and contributions to media production.

"I had the privilege of tutoring Jayen for GCSE Maths, and was consistently impressed by their dedication, curiosity, and unique way of approaching learning.
Throughout our sessions, Jayen demonstrated willingness and persistence when tackling challenges. He approached complex tasks with patience and perseverance, refusing to give up until he got things right. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they learned new strategies and built on their strengths.
Beyond academics, Jayen is kind, respectful, and brings authenticity to every interaction. His honesty and sense of humour make him a pleasure to work with. I have no doubt he will continue to thrive in environments that value these traits.
I wholeheartedly recommend Jayen for any opportunity that allows them to explore their skills and interests further."
