Jacob A. Osae is an international award-winning poet, screenwriter, and author known for his works in sci-fi and fantasy. He has written books including "Oaks Of Definition," "A Walking Rainbow," The Raven,” and "DNA:Origins." Jacob is also the co-founder and CEO of Creative Brilliance Afroverse (CBA), a science communicator and educator, based in Accra, Ghana.
Mr. Jacob A. Osae began his literary journey with a strong academic background, earning a degree in Physics from the University of Ghana. His early career included roles such as a literary critic and freelance writer, where he honed his skills in analyzing and creating compelling narratives. In the year 2019, his debut novel A WALKING RAINBOW was a critical and commercial success, marking his entry into the literary spotlight. The book received widespread acclaim for its innovative storytelling and profound themes.
Following his debut, Jacob in the following year published his most successful maiden science fiction and fantasy novel, THE RAVEN(2020) which got him many international recognitions and a special invitation and interview on National Television (GTV). After, Jacob published several more books, including OAKS OF DEFINITION (2016) and DNA: ORIGINS(2023) each of which has further solidified his reputation as a leading contemporary author. Furthermore, Mr. Osae is a literary consultant for the STEM division of the Ghana Education Service, has developed curriculum materials that integrate contemporary STEM literature into the classroom. These materials are designed to be inclusive and reflective of diverse voices, providing students with a broader understanding of modern literary trends and encouraging them to pursue their creative endeavours.
Jacob has received numerous awards, including the Humanitarian Awards Global nomination recognizing his exceptional contributions to literature. These accolades highlight his talent and the significant impact of his work.
Mr. Osae is the founder of Team Volvox, an initiative dedicated to supporting young and emerging writers from underrepresented backgrounds. This organization offers workshops, mentorship programs, and grants, providing essential resources to budding writers. The impact of this initiative is evident in the success stories of several participants who have gone on to publish their works and receive literary awards. Beyond the writing, Jacob is known for his advocacy work on STEM education. He co-founded the scientific non-profit organization called Creative Brilliance Afroverse (CBA). An organization that seeks to inspire, nurture, and train many writers in the field of science literature. He is actively involved in initiatives that promote literacy, diversity, and inclusion within the literary community.
