About
I completed my graduation in the discipline of “Environmental Science” from Stamford University, Bangladesh, and currently working as a “Senior Officer: Research and Campaign” at Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD). I have been employed with several research-oriented non-governmental organizations in Bangladesh and gained in-depth experience in scientific and social research, data analysis, field surveys, report writing, and the development of policy-advocacy materials. My professional lifespan is more than five years in the fields of climate change, disaster risk reduction (DRR), environmental conservation, and sustainable development. I got the privilege of attending numerous training sessions on research methodologies, reporting techniques, planning and analysis, monitoring and evaluation, policy advocacy, and SDGs from well-reputed national and international institutes and universities.
Besides my career venture, I have actively engaged with numerous national and international nonprofit organizations. I am coordinator and co-founder of “Environment Defense Network (EDN)”. I have participated and completed multiple projects, titled, “Implementing ground research and advocacy activities on loss and damages (L&Ds) associated with the impacts of climate change,” “Perceived Climate Change induced health crises (Women and Children) and economic losses: A Case Study in the South-west Coastal Region (Koyra Upazila) of Bangladesh,” “People-centered NDCs for a climate-just response in a COVID-19 world,” and “Research and Advocacy to Enhance Climate Change Justice for LDCs, Bangladesh in Particular under the Paris Climate Agreement,” etc. Furthermore, I have also published many policy briefs, book publications, journal articles, and new-paper articles based on my research findings, for instance, “Impacts of climate change-induced natural hazards on women and their human rights implications: A study in the southwest coast of Bangladesh,” “Locally-Led Adaptation Planning Communicating Ground Realities to Bangladesh’s Nap Process,” “Enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) to Tackle Climate Change: Context and Expectations,” “Anomalous public fund allocation for mitigating climate change impact,” and “Characteristics of the Environmental Crisis of Bangladesh: A Contemporary Thought,” Etc.
