Economic Analysis, Behavioural Economics, Inclusive Policy Innovation, Trade and Development, Human Capital Development, Macroeconomic and Fiscal Policy Intelligence, Investment and Competitiveness Promotion, Enterprise Development, Impact Assessment, and Monitoring and Evaluation are functional skillsets of Mr. Ibukunoluwa Akinrinde. Prior to his pursuit of doctoral studies in Economics at the North West University, South Africa, Mr. Ibukunoluwa Akinrinde has worked at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), the Nigerian Institute for Social and Economic Research (NISER), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), etc. as an Economist. He has also handled research consultancies with Oxford Policy Management, Office of the Vice President, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the United Nations Institute for Development Economic Planning (UNIDEP). His insatiable quest to always seek for new knowledge, as well as learn new ways of improving himself has been key to his growth and productivity. This is evident in some of his consultancy assignments – Course Director to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) leading the Course Instruction Team in the delivery of the course ―Promoting Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Facilitating Intra-Africa Trade‖; Course Director to the United Nations Institute for Development Economic Planning (UNIDEP) leading the Course Instruction Team in the delivery of the course ―Scaling PPPs in Meeting Post-Covid-19 Business Environment Needs at the Wake of the AfCFTA‖; and Trade Negotiation Co-facilitator to the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practice and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to train on ―Capacity Building for Negotiators Programme: The Practical Side of Trade Negotiation for Nigeria‖. In addition, he is currently appointed as a graduate research co-supervisor of two MBA at the North West University Business School in South Africa where is presently resides. Over time, he has had the opportunity to sit on several national and international committees in his effort towards nation building and public policy entreneurship. A few of these committees include – the Impact Assessment Technical Working Group of the Presidential African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Impact and Readiness Assessment Study; the Presidential National Action Committee for AfCFTA Implementation; the ECOWAS Common Investment Code Sensitization Committee; the World Bank Regional Investment Climate Scorecard Implementation Committee; and the Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Technical Working Group for the Preparation of National Development Plan for the periods 2021-2025, 2021-2030, 2021—2050; ICC Nigeria-GIZ Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation (GATF) Stakeholder Sessions, etc. As a prosperity-oriented economist with private and public-sector advisory exposure, Mr. Ibukunoluwa Akinrinde who would be of immense value to any knowledge arena he pitches his tent.
