Civil Engineer who will act as the Site Agent on behalf of the Main Contructor therefore being the cornerstone of all construction activity in order to ensure the MC delivers desirable and quality project as desirable my the Client through the consultants.

"Responsibilities for Civil Engineer

Acting as the communication bridge between site consultants and different appointed/... sub-contractors to ensure that work are executed as per updated drawings or as per Written Instructions or Approvals or Inspection reports,
Paying attention to detail to ensure zero cost repercussion during the construction process.
Constant patrol of the site to ensure that activities on site meet the requirement as set out within the latest written directions by relevant consultants.
Able to check different drawings including MEP drawings to ensure that works are done as per the latest drawing or suggested changes have been captured and updated through Instructions by relevant consulting party.
Ensuring different consultants are adequately engaged to ensure suitable instructions and approvals are obtained in order to ensure best design.
Pre- planning Sub-Contructor site logistic and activities as may be required in the programme of works e.g. Materials Schedule, Submission of methodologies and coming up with work commencement dates.
Ensuring samples of materials to be used are duly approved and sample works are duly approved while detailed exceptions are well written in form of instructions,
Pre-patrol of the site with appointed sub- contructors to ensure their concerns are incooporated in the design by relevant parties.
Liasing closely with the Quantity Survoyer & project managers both on the client's side and on the MC side to ensure timely appointed both domestic sub-contractors and nominated sub-contractors.
Identifying problematic areas and using tools like ARCH CAD & AUTO CAD to creat visual problem solving proposals to Stakeholders
Timely preparation of methodologies of works for MC's scope of work and obtaining approval before commencement of the said scope.
Working closely with project Manager to push for works as per the programme.

QUALIFICATIONS.

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Building and Construction 30 - 40yrs of age At least two years in construction of building from Start to Handover of a project working with Main Contractors

OTHER PREFERRED SKILLS
Has a good background of Surveying skills Proficient use of ARCH CAD & AUTO CAD for implemention in creating visual methodologies and problem solving proposals to Stakeholders and able to covert DWG files to PDF FILE Expert in the construction industry General Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumping Logistics and Safety Knowledge of Contract management procedures as set out in the Fidic Contract General Knowledge of Stakeholder relationships preferred
