• 18 Years working experience as a Nurse/ Midwife in Clinical Service.
Performed direct-patient care evaluation using health history, observation, interview, physical examination and selected diagnostic measures, according to standard and treat and teach within the scope of Nursing, and in collaboration with Medical staffs.
Deliver babies and provide Ante natal and Post natal advice, care and support to women, their babies, their partners and families. Ability to deal with emotionally changed situations.
• Co trainer on MNCH+ N & Routine Immunization – Responsible for dissemination of information , knowledge and skills to the participants on Integrated Social and Behavior Change on MNCH demand generation activities, identification and Management of Malnutrition, importance of immunization and responsibilities of health worker in RI, common diseases prevented by vaccination, National Immunization Schedules and FAQs, Maintaining cold chain and the vaccine carrier, Ensuring safe injections, Planning and conducting Immunization sessions, Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI), Records, Reports and use of Data for action, Field visit to PHCs and session sites, Increasing Immunization coverage, Surveillance of VPDs, Discussions on the field visits, Evaluation and Distribution of certificates to the participants.
• Maternal and Child Health Promotion Officer- Dedicated to improving the health of mothers, pregnant women, and children under the age of five, through its programme interventions and utilizes social marketing techniques to promote maternal and child health products.
• Voluntary Counseling and Testing- Describe and understand the concept of integrated services for HIV counseling and testing and other Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) needs and plan how to implement integrated counseling and services within the organization , Identify and implement the key elements of HIV counseling and testing for youth: Pretest counseling and risk assessment; Posttest counseling for both negative and positive results and risk reduction; Explain the importance of quality referrals in providing HIV counseling and testing to youth and identify the referral systems in place and the gaps in existing referral systems in their communities; Demonstrate improved youth-focused counseling skills, drawing on resources in the manual; Understand how to gain community support for integrated youth services and how to develop promotional and social marketing campaigns for those services.
• Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT)- Preventing new HIV infections among women of childbearing age; preventing unintended pregnancies among women living with HIV; preventing HIV transmission from a woman living with HIV to her baby; providing appropriate treatment, care and support to mothers living with HIV and their children and families.
