About

My previous research involved conventional methodologies in crop improvement, like phenotypic evaluation, screening, and adaptation of essential food crops (bread wheat, faba-bean, potato, maize, and Tef). However, my research recently focused on comparative genomic and metabolomic studies in primary crops. Hence, my research trajectory and future interests lie in the nutritional-sensitive breeding of crops. My focus centres on exploring the genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic aspects of crops to identify pivotal metabolites, genes, and genomic regions (QTLs).
