Harriet Apio

"I had the pleasure of working with Harriet for over four years on several high-impact national projects, including the Uganda Population-based HIV Impact Assessments (UPHIA 2016 and RUPHIA 2020) and the Global Health Facility Data (GHFD) project. These initiatives, funded through Columbia University by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), were rigorous and complex in nature.
Harriet served as the Finance and Administration Manager, where she directed the financial and administrative components of these projects with exceptional competence and professionalism. She consistently demonstrated a high level of diplomacy in stakeholder engagement, and her strong communication skills—both written and verbal—greatly enhanced the team’s image and effectiveness.
Harriet led a team of accounting and administrative officers with a balanced approach that combined strong leadership with warmth and approachability. Her ability to maintain professional standards while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment made her a valuable asset to the team.
