"This is a recommendation for cellist Ágnes Kállay. As part of Duo Art-Vanguard with pianist Kalina Mrmevska, they performed my compositions "Postcards from the 1930’s" and "sea changes," in concerts in the US, North Macedonia, Germany, and Hungary, in 2014 and 2015. They beautifully captured the nuances of folk idioms in these two works, which are settings of Balkan and Anatolian Turkish folk songs. Ms. Kállay is an exquisite artist with a flawless technique, and I look forward to following her promising career.
