A development studies graduate, with a demonstrated history of work experience in the Livelihoods, Food Security, Humanitarian and Emergency Relief sector. My extensive career experience includes positions with Caritas Kenya “program coordinator,” Sustainet East Africa “regional project facilitator,” and Catholic Relief Services Kenya “community mobilization/liaison officer.” In my currently designation as program Coordinator at Caritas, I coordinate livelihood projects meant to fight poverty, and nurture peaceful coexistence among the communities living in Kisumu, Homabay and Migori counties. Additionally, I have served as part time lecturer at Maseno University-School of Development and Strategic Studies, consultant for Champions of Peace Kenya “CoPK”; Kenya-Uganda Cross Border Crimes and Insecurity research project, World Vision; project staff training on Village Savings and Lending “VSL”, Omega foundation; staff training on post-harvest handling and management of farm produce, and as research assistant for Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization “KALRO”, International Food Policy Research Institute “IFPRI”, and International Center for Tropical Agriculture “CIAT”. Overall, I have worked for NGO/INGOs, researched, taught, consulted and collaborated with a number of development organizations, research institutions and professionals. I am keen to join a diverse workforce to inspire, encourage, facilitate and promote development innovations.
