  • Manage and Appraise Branch staff.
  • Draw up work schedules for identifying and marketing prospective customers.
  • Maintain good public relations with current and prospective customers.
  • Plan and report on Marketing calls for the Branch.
  • Structure credit facilities to address customers’ needs and prepare/review credit proposals with the Group Head.
  • Co-ordinate Branch database and respond to Audit queries, both internally and
  • externally.
  • Monitor to ensure the Credit Portfolio, meets the Central Bank of Kenya guidelines and that all facilities are conducted in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the processing and issuance of Letters of Credit, Import/Export documentation and Bank Guarantees as per the laid down international rules i.e., UCP 600 and URC 522.
  • Drafting proposals based on agreed concessions with customers and defending these with the credit committee as and when required to do so.
  • Negotiate foreign exchange and credit rates with customers within limits set by the bank to ensure maximum profitability to the bank.
  • Monitor the unit’s performance against monthly/quarterly/annual plans.
  • Prepare and present the Branch’s Monthly Profitability Report (MPR) to the CEO.
  • Achieve self PCE and annual performance targets.
  • Prepare periodic reports for Management Credit Committee (MCC).
  • Coordinate with the Asset Recoveries department to ensure that a smart loan book is always maintained with the aim of retaining very minimal non-performing loans.
  • Ensure that the Bank’s customers are given royal customer service as expressed in the bank’s mission and vision.
  • Ensure the Branch outlook is per the prescribed standards.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
