"Although I have only had the pleasure of following his Ancient Greek classes, there is no doubt that he should be a particularly skilled teacher in other subjects as well, for he managed to make a very hermetic language (a dead one after all) much more accessible, which isn’t a particularly easy task when one’s students range from beginners to skilled ones. It probably stems from the light-heartedness he brings to every class, not a carefree atmosphere by any means but a relaxing respite for students undertaking preparatory classes. Manages to blend essentials with finicky details and overall gives about enough work for one to progress without drowning his students. Could maybe use a clearer outline; many things are decided on the go, which does work but brings less structure to the class."
