  • Monitoring to verify that the welfare of animal subjects is protected and that the conduct of the trial follows the approved protocol on the study: “Sex-differential effects of adjuvanted and non-adjuvanted rabies vaccines on all-cause mortality in a novel animal model: understanding non-specific effects of vaccines in high mortality populations” (short title: Non-specific effects of rabies vaccines in dogs: the NERVE-Dog study; grant no. R21AI151356).
  • Completing online module “Working with the IACUC” through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program.
  • Completing online module “Post-Approval Monitoring (PAM)” through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program.
  • Familiarity with the study protocol, informed consent form and study data collection forms.
  • Conducting quarterly post-approval monitoring visits and submiting reports to the PI and RUSVM IACUC.
  • Follow up on queries or complaints received about the study from members of the public or study personnel.
  • Participate remotely in relevant RUSVM IACUC meetings at the request of the RUSVM IACUC
  • Contacting the RUSVM IACUC in events that the project is suspended or if a reportable deficiency according to The Public Health Service (PHS) Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (PHS Policy) occurs.
