My daily responsibilities are but not limited to:
Under the supervision of the Refugee Program Manager, these were my key functions:
Coordinate the community based in camp;
Ensure well coordination and well management of the refugees in other to ensure their good protection in camps;
Ensure security in camps by strengthening law enforcement;
Ensure that the refugees are protected against gender-based violence;
Collaboration with different partners in camp with the aim of providing timely and appropriate assistance to refugees;
Working closely with local legal institutions for effective management of the camp in line with Refugees protection;
Enhancing the good relationship between refugees and local citizens surrounding the camp; Actively participate in all activities organized in collaboration with the Government in line with the protection of Refugees in the camp;
Monitoring and reporting monthly, quarterly and annually on all activities done in line with Refugees Protection

Work experience

Field Reintegration officer in Reintegration of Rwandan Returnee Project at MIDIMAR (Ministry in Charge of Disaster Management and Refuges Affairs)

My duties and responsibilities:
In collaboration with the District Mayor and his/her team, the Field Reintegration Officer have to perform the following key functions:
a. Conduct community mobilization and sensitization before, during and after the arrival of returnees to the District;
b. Encourage Local Authorities to play a more active role in sustainable reintegration of returned refugees through the allocation of resources to activities and initiatives in which returnees themselves can make a contribution and also benefit from them;
c. Foster linkages between all the partners in the Joint Program and the District representatives of line Ministries and Local Authorities;
d. On the basis of information provided by MIDIMAR, facilitate meetings of returnees to discuss their challenges, offer advice and possible solutions;
e. Collect data on vulnerable returnee households, monitor progress and propose assistance through the Joint Program;
f. Coordinate and document the assistance provided to vulnerable returnee households through the Joint Program;
