[Dr. Martin Ogola (PhD), a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, Kenyatta University, teaches educational leadership, policy, management and research. Martin is an experienced researcher with interest in school management and leadership, education policy, and entrepreneurial education and has published articles in these areas. He has also been involved as a researcher in several program evaluations. Most recently, he conducted the European Commission funded Baseline Survey for the Higher Education System Strengthening Project in CS Somalia, Puntland and Somaliland; and a study of the Status of Secondary Education in Kenya (for APHRC/ Regional Education Learning Initiative). He has employed both quantitative and qualitative research approaches to conduct surveys, interviews and focus group discussions and has vast experience in developing research tools and report writing. He is a member of the Society of Educational Research and Evaluation in Kenya, the Kenya Association of Educational Administration& Management as well as Education Evidence for Action. He is also a founder member of Uwezo Agenda, a not-for-profit organization that works to promote equitable, quality education for all.]
