Trained village agents, supervised and monitored them as they trained their fellow farmers in Rural Producer Organizations, Farmer groups in the different approved agricultural technologies, and Gender and Livelihood aspects. This led to a group of well-trained farmers who improved their livelihoods and general wellbeing through farming.
Conducted research and provided technical support/advice to the farmers as far as agriculture is concerned. This included; Good Agricultural practices, Farming as a business, Post-harvest management, Climate smart agriculture, and Gender issues as well as their livelihoods. This broadened the farmers’ knowledge of agriculture hence improving their production.
Provided technical support to farmer groups in agribusiness and other advisory services and worked with different district stakeholders and other field workers to improve farmers’ livelihoods through implementing agricultural and livelihood projects.
Carried out data collection and presented field based information to managers, monitoring teams and other stakeholders in the project. This informed the next decisions of the managers in regards to our projects.
Worked with a team of both professionals and non-professionals to collectively benefit the beneficiaries with increased productivity.
Planed, supervised and coordinated weekly activities of agribusiness agents in the different agribusiness centres.
Created strategic partnerships with key business development service providers and other stakeholders to promote the growth of farmer groups and their agribusinesses.
Mentored and coached the ACEs to ensure their sustainable growth and coordinated business centres in over five ACEs in Kiryandongo district. I also carried out their needs assessment with the help of a team.
