  • Oversee and monitor WFP activities in the provinces of WFP Area Office in accordance with WFP and United Nations policies and procedures and visit project sites regularly and monitor food distributions, construction/ labor works;

  • Establish and maintain database of list by district of NGO partners, CDCs, shuras, community elders, other relevant community stakeholders (as directed by relevant WFP field offices) and local food distribution committees;
  • Provision of technical support, training and reporting policies to the stakeholders on behalf of WFP. Reports on all the trainings conducted, including the number of meetings held, purpose and outcome, to ensure knowledge of service provider’s staff on WFP Reporting Kits, etc. must be part of the documentation to be shared with WFP;
  • Visit CPs storage facilities and distribution points (hospitals, schools, etc) and inspect these sites according to WFP’s food management standard. Technical advice on warehousing and food management should be provided to the stakeholders to build their capacity on proper food management;
  • Establish and maintain transparent working relationships with implementing partners, NGOs, local communities and local government with the purpose of ensuring that WFP food assistance reaches those in need. Ascertain those women are adequately represented as decision makers within government forums, food distribution committees, etc;
  • If needed Field Monitor may attend meetings at the district and provincial level coordination meetings called by governor, and line department such PDMC and NGO/INGO; take note of matters discussed and report to WFP for information and appropriate action where required;
  • Support WFP Access Field Teams in their analysis of local situations as relevant to WFP programming, and also with community engagement and field communication activities. This may include outreach and meetings in areas where UN security regulations would prevent WFP staff from travelling to;
  • Identify issues related to food delivery and distribution and promptly report the findings to the Head of AO/SO who will take necessary actions.
