About

I am your go-to expert in special education and transition, focusing on empowering individuals with complex disabilities through functional skills, communication, and self-advocacy. I also work with advocates to improve skills using their strengths, preferences, interests, needs, and supports. With 32 years of experience, I am pioneering a path for community inclusion and belonging, one individual at a time. I told my mom at nine years old that I wanted to be a special ed teacher just like her. I achieved that goal in 1993. In 2018, I earned my Master's and became a certified transition specialist. I recently retired from education to open a consulting business. I am also working on my EdD in Organizational Leadership. I dream of opening a day facility for individuals with complex disabilities to improve inclusivity in our local community.
