Mzimkhulu Comfort Kheswa, known as "Muzie Kheswa," is a dedicated and passionate Programme Manager with a strong background in community development and social welfare. He engaged with the University of South Africa (UNISA), focusing on a BA in Social Work with a specialization in Psychology. While at UNISA, he pursued studies up to level 3 before transitioning to his professional career.
Kheswa currently serves as the Project Manager of the Crystal Fountain Spiritual Centre (CFSC), a non-profit organization registered with the Department of Social Development since July 2006. Located in Pimville, Soweto, CFSC operates as a Community Based Organization (CBO).
His journey in community work began in 2004 as a Community Care Giver at Sizanani Home Base Care in Meadowlands Zone 11. He furthered his education by studying Social Auxiliary Work at Khanya College in 2008, successfully graduating in October 2009. Following his graduation, he commenced his professional career on August 11, 2009, at Crystal Fountain.
In April 2020, Kheswa was promoted to the position of Project Manager at Crystal Fountain. In this role, he assumes key responsibilities such as employee management, supervision, motivation, support, and evaluation. He handles human resource matters, including staff interviews, employment contracts, and dismissals, and maintains essential relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, Kheswa facilitates staff meetings, represents the organization at external meetings, and offers support to colleagues in various capacities.
He plays a pivotal role in budget planning and reporting to the board of directors and funders, ensuring the organization's continued progress. Kheswa is committed to maintaining an operative database and record-keeping system, promoting CFSC through marketing efforts, ensuring timely staff payments, and actively assisting in organizational fundraising initiatives. His leadership is characterized by a strong emphasis on teamwork, respect for colleagues' perspectives, and a positive attitude towards all stakeholders, underpinned by a commitment to organizational codes of conduct.
Currently, Kheswa manages four crucial programs, namely Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and Youth (OVCY), Preventing HIV in Vulnerable Populations, Skills Development and Stigma and Discrimination Programme. He is actively seeking additional funding opportunities to advance the organization's vision and mission. His unwavering dedication to community development and social work underscores his commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those he serves.
