Clementine Uzayisenga

"It is my pleasure to recommend Mr. IGIRANEZA Clément for admission to PhD program at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) and the faculty of Biology of Mainz, Germany. He will be able to follow the programs related to Molecular Biology, genomic and Bioinformatics. I came to know Clément since 2012 when I was supervising him as a laboratory technician in a survey conducted by World Health Organization in collaboration with Ministry of Health in Rwanda. At that time, he was doing an internship at Rwanda Biomedical Center/ National Reference Laboratory participating in different activities of control, prevention and surveillance of communicable diseases. I am also currently working with him as a research assistant in different activities of Clinical Microbiology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences/ University of Rwanda. I have also worked with him when he was working at RBC as a laboratory technician in sequencing team at Rwanda Biomedical Center/ National Reference Laboratory. A part from professional experience, I also followed CLEMENT news during his master’s degree in China where he has been awarded Chinese government outstanding international student scholarship, year 2019. He is a quite remarkable student with a strong research interest and during all the activities, he always makes many valuable contributions to my research team. I support Clément’s decision to pursue his specific research interests at your program, and I am confident that he will be a highly valuable element to your PhD program.
