  • Carry out routine inspection, repairs, and preventive maintenance of machines and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Undertaking repairs, calibration of broken down equipment’s and operational test runs before handing back to the clients.
  • Disassembling and assembling of mechanical components (gears, transmission belts, bearings, pumps) of machines and equipment for repair and maintenance.
  • Installation and programing of variable speed drives on various 3 phase machines.
  • Carry out installation, testing and commissioning of new factory/mill machines e.g. wet & dry coffee processing machines, color sorters, coffee roasters, compressors etc.
  • Carry out cleaning, tightening of the anchor bolts and lubrication of all machines and equipment
  • Work alongside the safety, health and environment personnel to ensure equipment, equipment users and environment safety requirements and regulations are adhered to.
  • Advice clients/users on status/condition of existing machines.
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturer on technical issues and advice users and factories management accordingly.
  • Compile and regularly update machine maintenance and repair records e.g. updating machine software, servicing of compressors, greasing of machine bearings etc.
  • Carry out repairs of all single and 3 phase electrical faults.
  • Assist and advice on procuring of new equipment by providing technical i.e. pneumatic and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) specifications.
  • Work alongside contractors to ensure that safety standards of the machines are maintained in the in the factories/site.
  • Reviews operator’s manuals and other established guidelines; ensures equipment and information systems are operated in accordance with established guidelines
  • Provide technical advice on machine requirements to structural and building engineers on factory/site set-up.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair work; prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence
  • Provide training to machine operators after installing new equipment’s.
