  • Position was responsible for team leadership and oversight for the implementation for CARE’s Financial Inclusion – PROFIT Financial Graduation program in Kitui County (also scaled to Marsaabit & Samburu). Responsible for program implementation planning, roll-out and implementation (mentorship, coaching, seed capital asset transfer, food-aid cash transfer, WASH/healthcare support, VSLA mobilization/formalization, financial literacy, institutional linkages, value-chain mapping for sustainability), monitoring and evaluation, reporting, liaison with strategic investor / partner (IFAD & GOK), County Government and relevant strategic agencies, stakeholder briefing, Learning documentation and management of feedback mechanism. Position oversees institutionalization and aggregation of small-holder actor units into registered Group Savings and Loaning entities for further organizational development and linkages – currently at 52 smallholder entities set up and monitored on the MIS on-line platform. Position also offers support towards staff competency development, mentorship and coaching while conducting annual appraisal. Position involves both occasional local and international travel. Key achievements made include an impressive 82.5% graduation rate for the extreme poor participating households, production of knowledge products and production and launch of CARE International’s Financial Graduation handbook – social economic transformation of Kenya’s extreme poor populations in rural Kenya.

  • Was responsible for spearheading the corporate donor – supported RTN innovative program model across 9 counties of Christian Aid's portfolio of partnerships and projects in Kenya. Working in close liaison with the county governments, Christian Aid UK Office and other supporting country programs.
