About

I'm a second-year Master's student in Italian Studies and an Instructor of Italian language at the University of Notre Dame. I obtained my first Master's degree in Film Studies from the University of Bologna, with a thesis about Guido Aristarco’s archive, a famous film critic who was also the director of Cinema Nuovo. At the University of Bologna, I also completed my First Cycle Degree, and my thesis was about Jerry Lewis in DC Comics. In 2020, I participated in the Higher Education course “Multimedia and cross-media editor. Telling about festivals between writing and multimedia”. In 2022, I attended the seminar “La catalogazione dei manoscritti con Manus Online”, which covered the cataloging of manuscripts using the Manus Online software. In 2023, I enrolled in the course “History and Cultures of Sexuality” organized by the Italian Society of History. My research interests focus on Italian Cinema, Film Criticism, Italian cinema and Shoah, Italian fascist films, American comedians, and the role of women in the Italian editorial board. I work as a film festival critic and film critic for Cinefilia Ritrovata (an online magazine of the Cineteca of Bologna), E Muto Fu (an online blog about silent films), and Streamofilia (an online magazine about streaming, which I'm also directing).
